보편적 진리에서 절대선(絶對善)은 '본질적 생존'을 의미한다.
단순히 선이 착하다거나 유약한 가치가 아니라는 것이다.
'보편적 선'의 관계 처럼, 절대선은 생명의 본질적 생존을 추구하는 것이라고 볼 수 있다.

액면적으로 절대선은 '생명의 본질적 생존을 추구하는 절대적 선'의 가치라고 볼 수 있지만, 시대적으로 본다면 '상대적인 측면에서 시대와 과학문명에 따라 생존을 유리하게하는 상대적 선'의 가치라고도 볼 수 있을 것이다.

과학문명이 발달할수록 더욱 선을 실현하려 노력해야 한다.
과학문명은 본질적 선을 실현할 수 있도록 해주는 본질적 수단이지만, 역설적이게도 선을 실현하지않으면 인류는 바로 그 과학문명의 힘으로 자멸할수밖에 없어질 수 있다는 사실을 기억해야 한다.
선은 본질적 생존을 위한 균형을 추구하는 것을 말한다.
선을 추구하는 것은 매우 어렵다.
마치 외줄타기하는 것과 같다.
반면, 악을 추구하는 것은 쉽다.
조금만 균형을 잃어도 악이 될 수 있다.
하지만, 선을 추구하지않으면 인간은 본질적 생존을 영위할 수 없게 된다.
체온이 조금만 올라가도 위험하고 조금만 낮아져도 위험해진다. 즉, 우리 인체는 스스로의 항상성을 유지하기위하여 놀라울정도의 시스템 체계를 가지고 있음을 잊지 말아야 할 것이다.
미래로 갈수록 그러한 균형점을 잃을수록 미래 인류의 위험도는 증가하게 될 수 있을 것이다.

하지만, 선은 올바른 가치와 체계, 관념, 사상 등으로 또한 견고하게 유지될 수 있음을 잊지 말아야 할 것이다.
신호등에 따라 도로의 질서가 생기고 사고가 발생하지 않게 되듯이 올바른 가치체계와 관념, 사상등은 인류를 안전하고 조화롭게 발전할 수 있도록 이끌어주게 될 것이다.
