즉, 추위를 피해 불을 피우고, 홍수나 가뭄에 대비하여 댐을 만들 수도 있게 되었다는 것입니다.

실질적으로 궁극적으로 생존해내기 위해서는 이렇게 환경에 능동적으로 대응하고 준비할 수 있는 이성적이고 지성적인 존재로 진화되지 않으면 안된다는 의미가 될 수도 있게 되는 것입니다.

하지만, 여기에는 한가지 큰 문제가 존재합니다.
